interesting Phero, well at least you doubled-down on that take. I can respect that.
Like I said, I kind of just wanted to do it, lol

listen to black eyes demon
i have a review for this in progress anyhow which i will probably finish after a while

completely agree that the dynamic shifts feel unearned and are never really able to capitalise on any properly built and escalated tensions

I should probably listen to more of those bands you mentioned Phero, then perhaps I will end up lowering my rating by association - like if they're all way better, which seems likely. I love Slint, but not too familiar with the others.
I listened to Codeine like once, need to check again.
Black Eyes can be on the 'radar'.

I agree about the vocals Pika, even if I didn't mention them in the review

Glad Iām not the only positive one.
People Thought My Windows Were Stars is really good too, especially the title track. Thatās worth a listen for about every whose main issue here is the length, that oneās technically an EP but itās 40 minutes so functions essentially as an LP

Weirdly enough this reminds me of The For Carnation if anything

Yeah the whispery vocals are definitely similar to McMahanās style in that project more so than Slint.

oh wow this got a review nice
heard like one song and then realised i knew like half the people in the band and then benched it until phero published his hitpiece but NOW yolomanc had cooped this enterprise, what a turn of events
will read etcetc

New album is decent on first go but also weirdly slight compared to this one (only 7 tracks/37 minutes). Not going to win over anyone who didnāt like this one.

I was ready to be a hater, but this is pretty good.
