Furious riffage, limp-wristed weedles. They don't even really need the solos, but they need to be a lot better if they going to include them

Thanks guys!

It's techy bloc, but it's more about the sci-fi atmosphere and the way these guys add other layers to their thrash formula.

I'm glad you love it Asleep ;)

"Agree with your assessment of the lead guitars btw. I don't see Laurens Houvast becoming a new Dave Davidson just yet but I do think he is capable of much more adventurous soloing."

Yeah, but as I said, it's just a minor detail, with no relevant impact on the band's music.

"They don't even really need the solos, but they need to be a lot better if they going to include them"

Agreed. The solos are not an essential element in the lads' songwriting.

I listened to the first few songs and seemed cool. More thrash than techdeath as the cover suggests ahah. Still proficient! Will be back for the wholrle thing fs.

On paper I should probably hate this.

But no, this actually is pretty cool stuff I'm hearing.

Legend has it that the goblins of Moria have always had good taste.

The lads have a thrash core, no doubt D. I hope it grows on you. Easily one of the best albums within the genre I've heard in recent years.

Kind of want to imagine how this would’ve been received had it been released 20-30 years ago. Might seem slightly hyperbolic, but this has the potential to set a new bar for the genre.

Their hybrid approach will probably become a reference for the genre. I wouldn't be surprised if in the next couple of years a few bands with a similar style sprout up.

"Gonna assume this is tech as fuck"

It was actually refreshing that this wasn't overly technical. I love techdeath, but with every band trying to out-wiz the last, it's cool to hear an album that focuses on sexy riffage and cool atmosphere.

I remember these guys being a rather run-on-the-mill thrash band but goddamn this album shreds hard. Amazing with a little bit of brave genre-mixing can do to your songwriting.

This is a bit out of my wheelhouse stylistically, but the vocals make this really difficult to slog through. The musicianship is ace though

My least favorite genres, Thrash and Tech. However, I actually enjoyed this. Was even leaning towards a 4.0, but the last few songs fell off (for me at least).
