Thanks, Mytho. Weiland is the album that got me into the band, but nowadays I prefer Songs of Moors and Misty Fields, it has that '90s magic.

Need to check this, thank you for the rev!

I used to listen to ' Where at Night the Wood Grouse Plays' quite a lot about a decade ago, but kinda forgot about this band.

You mean the baritone vocals? Yeah, they can be a bit weird haha.

I didn't know they had a new album out, I've listened to a few tracks and it's really good.

I like the vocals, they remind me of goth rock.

This is really cool. Production is crisp af. Lots of parts remind me of Summoning.

Good album. Reminds me of Sun of the Sleepless e.g. Uber den Sternen. I can also hear The Vision Bleak.

so excited to dive deep into this when I get a chance. These guys and Tenhi put Prophecy on the map for me. Where at Night the Wood Grouse plays was really my first introduction to acoustic dark folk, and Songs of Moors and Misty Fields, and Weiland are both such incredible albums. I didn't really love the one before this, but based on the single I heard, this is gonna be a good one. Also commenting to remember to read your review dude! you always have such great writeups.

Really appreciate it, Dungeon! Agreed hard on your Prophecy statement. I think I read somewhere that A Wintersunset was Prophecy's first release.

We got Uber den Sternen on the 25th anniversary of Prophecy. New Tenhi maybe on their 30th? :]

The baritone vocals remind me of A Quick Fix of Melancholy-era Garm.

Edit:

I'm sensing different vibes from the album, from Amber Asylum, to Tiamat to Vaya Con Dios even.

I somehow got into this band like a month before a new album lol. And it's dope!

Yeah, enjoyed this, the baritone vocals were shocking at first but I love how they are treated in the mix, and they really give this such an unique feel.
