ND never disappoints. Love the experimental/moody vibes in this, they always know how to spice up the formula just a bit more, to make their sound fresh and intense as ever.

The summary is on point!

Album is easily among the best ones from this year - for me, at least.

Metal AOTY next to Stare Into Death and Be Still.

Saw them randomly live at Exit Festival a few years ago. The sound was shit, but it was a really fun gig.

I saw them live too, with Cannibal Corpse and Immolation. It was a great show.

Some minor feedback for you but only because I want to see you continue to grow as a writer!

I’d try to avoid the whole “this band needs no introduction” angle in the future. I’m sure I’m guilty of this myself but a good tip is to not tell your audience things they already know. It’s safe to say anyone reading a Napalm Death review in 2020 is fully aware they don’t need an introduction ;) You’d be better off just jumping straight into what makes this album so special 30 years into their career. Just think your writing will be more potent if you iron out things the audience can deduce themselves.

The only other thing I’d like to see in more of your reviews: You! No need to give your life story, but mixing in a bit of how the music personally affects you could be a nice change of pace. Finding a balance of informative and insightful is key.

That’s all I got! Looking forward to what you cook up in the future!

We should coin a new genre: melodic grindcore.

Or post grindcore or technical grindcore.

I think I'll take post grindcore.

Post-grind is the most accurate (- but I don't think it's really necessary).

Yeah, I took a peek, but I focused only on the 12 tracks for the review. Sonic Youth fans should dig the cover.
