This is my introduction to boris, are there any albums dedicated to the world of doom?

Absolutego on max volume is one of the best things ever, but its one big 60 min song which is hard to get into. Amplifier worship is a bit more song oriented and with a punk vibe. Dronevil is another epic 60 min drone fest but less minimalist than Absolutego. Dear is their most recent and its probably the closest you could get to a "normal" album arrangement. Then there is Solomon Overlooked I which is super minimalist. Pretty much all of them are God.

^that is the best answer, but (should have said) the quickest solution is to jam "Aileron" on its own asap - and then all the rest!

"Boris don’t do emotional bullshit."

What are you talking about Johnny? Did you know not listen to the opening track of LOVE/EVOL? "Away From You" Sounded pretty emotional to me. I guess what you want to say is that they don't do cliche, emotional stuff.

No, most similar record is Vein 2006. This is honestly their best release in like 15 years.

HxCxHxC -Perforation Line-

This was taken from Praparat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CFh0xIhxoY

Perforated Line. I thought it sounded familiar. Well, they basically took the beginning section of it, and made a full song out of it. Praparat is super underrated Boris. Was only released in Japan, so understandable that's not as well known in their catalog.

This came out at a super good time. Been spending the last few weeks listening to everything from Boris that I haven’t heard...not much left at this point

"Sounded pretty emotional to me"

"away from you" (and a bunch of other Boris tbh) aren't un-emotional, but they v rarely sound like they're presented in way that foregrounds emotional weight above all else imo (+ are the better for this)

"which version?"

lol someone didn't read the rev
