I Know and I Don’t Know Anything is the best part of the album imo. Something about the guitars and atmosphere

For me, it's 'Boats' onward. The back end of this just gets prettier and prettier. Agreed with you totally about the guitars and atmosphere - it's very rich without assuming anything.

ok I think "Mary, I Love Her" is my favorite track now
this kinda reminds me of Juliana Daugherty, which is a very good thing

It’s so good. Just gets better once the lyrics start to sink in
look at the moth in the street lamp glow/it’s a shooting star if you blink at it slow

‘look at the moth in the street lamp glow/it’s a shooting star if you blink at it slow’
Absolute dross!
Will give this a go though.

I did too (although I appreciated the piano flourishes on Elbow right away), but I enjoy it more now. It's definitely plodding and requires more effort than it should on the listeners' part to form the requisite emotional connection (IMO, or maybe that's just because super lo-fi isn't usually my thing). However, there is something that I love about how purposefully understated it is, and her voice is more than capable of carrying the slower moments.
