prestige: widespread respect and admiration felt for someone or something on the basis of a perception of their achievements or quality.

Nothing to do with time, their inclusion here is based solely on talent and achievement within death metal.

Really nice review, only thing that bugs me is

“but the act itself came into the world with fresh ideas and moments of [dare I say it…] innovation by taking moments out of musical history”

Have “moments” twice so close together reads funny, but that’s it.

As for the album, I really dig it. It’s basically a direct continuation of the sound on Sweven (the album) but tipping the prog/death scales even further to the former’s favor. There are some moments that almost directly recall Sweven, like the trems on the closer that sound a lot like the ones on Towards a Dark Sky. Dunno if it’s intentional or just a product of him mostly sticking to his previous style

I did notice the repetition, but I figured I'd get some lee-way in a 1000 plus words of text. Turns out the eagle eyes of Sputnik users are not so forgiving. My deepest apologies.

It's been a while since I've had some mouth to dick action. The wise treebeard once said: don't be so hasty.

This album blasts hard, everywhere you look tehre are blasts, you can try to escape but you will fail as the blasts consume your lobes and lucifer infests, the riffs rule too but.

Technically speaking, there's not much actual death metal going on here - I'm not saying it doesn't exist but it's not the first sound preference.

i believe the soundscapes conjure a variety of sounds, including bm, dm, prog dm, experimental, this whole album consists of hybrid composition but it flows well and i think thats why im so drawn, anderssons vox are killer af, so reminiscent of morbus chron

Someone gives me bag of 1000 Skittles but one single Skittle is filled with cyanide, you think I’m not gonna notice when I eat that Skittle
