This album is good and even great at times. But there's not really any standout tracks for me like I had with Proponent for Sentience. Definitely some highlights but nothing like The Algorithm or Of Mind and Matrix from the previous album. Still, this is more really solid work from Allegaeon, always amazed at how consistent these guys are.
Also, I'm glad the Patreon route they went with seems to be helping them at least a little bit so far.

Proponents was p great but I think this one edged it out for me in terms of standouts moments.
Nothing will top the intro to Elements of the Infinite tho.

I really wish you had mentioned the cleans in your review, some songs (like Tsunami and Submergence) would feel right at home on Son of Aurelius' "Under a Western Sun".
Otherwise I enjoyed it, have a pos

Note to self, will check. I'm a bit sensitive to this sort of thing, will either be awesome or average, probably.

I'm thinking average tbh

bloc wasn't kidding, this is definitely not my brand of tech (is it even tech in 2019?). In fact, I'm beginning to wonder what my brand of tech actually is - it does exist, just an exceedingly rare breed.
I could mention how I didn't find the riffs particularly interesting, or how the melodies failed to stand out (even though the whole thing was almost sickeningly melodic), or how the production is horribly 'loud' and the bass was absent, but at the end of the day this just isn't my jam.
