'One of those albums you listen to the first three songs and go 'this is shit but it might get better?'....and then the quality tumbles off a cliff.'

Yeah, I mean the first couple of tracks aren't particularly good, sure it's generic but mostly what I've come to expect from these guys now, but after that? It descends into complete absurdity, like a parody of their own ludicrous inability to write anything approaching tasteful & at the listeners expense. I guess you might get a few 'this is so bad it's hilarious' laughs out of it, but there's nothing beyond that worth noting here.

"I had the chance to listen to the whole album one day earlier, and I just have one thing to say : I f*cking loved it, it's the Muse I like, ever trying news things, this synthwave vibe was a wonderful thing, keep going guys !"

'Love the synthwave direction. Algorithm is classic Muse, mixed with their new direction. Propoganda sounds like a Prince song and I kind of dig it. Break it To Me has a dope solo toward the end. The Void is on par with the other closers of the past few albums. This album is so fun and I'm really enjoying it.'

Word.

This is like the 2nd Law to me in that I find it so hilariously bad and over the top that I can't hand it the lowest score it probably deserves.

On AOTY I rated it 4/100

1pt for each of the first three songs and 1pt for the rest. Seems super massively accurate to me

That's why I have it at a 2. Personal enjoyment is most always how I rate. I do ironically enjoy some of this the same way I do 2nd Law. It's still pure garbage though.

Ok, what is this site & why you can rate out of 100? 4/100 seems a tad harsh, although I can see rating something in such tiny increments as being a little tricky.

Lower that rating Dewi, 'embarrassing' isn't a 2/5, surely not? Hehe

It is, I still think Bellami sounds great and I like a couple of tracks, but poor effort overall.

good review, i think the albums pretty sweet though. Pressure is a straight jam, Thought Contagion is easily one of my favourite Muse tracks. but i’m the guy who positively rated the new Thirty Seconds to Mars album so, idk guys think you should probably pretend i didn’t say anything
