This album is soooo beautiful, Kill the king and Gates of babylon are masterpieces and Lady of the lake and The shed (subtle) are soooo underrated

I'm not that fond of this album. Two of the best songs, the title track and Kill the King, are better done live. Only Gates of Babylon remains. The other rockers are decent, but rather stereotypal. Remains the closer. While I have learned to appreciate it - it took me 30 years - I still rather listen to classical chamber music.

Rainbow played Gates of Babylon live just one time at the Don Kirschner's show, however the only remain version of that song contains only Dio's vocals but not the instruments (the same goes for L.A. Connection, but that song was played on tour too)... still is the closest you'll get to Rainbow playing it
