Objectively one of the worst records I've ever had the displeasure of listening to.

Band was never good so I'm sure this sucks
|
| |
Band's discography largely fucking SLAYS, honestly
|
| |
I'm not shocked you think that
|
| |
I mean this album sucks yeah, but their debut album, all their EPs and demos slay. I haven't heard their reunion album, but overall their good material outweighs the bad.

THANK YOU, Astral! I really didn’t realize how many people dislike their debut. I mean it has a 4/5 on the site so I figured most liked it.
And hell yeah their demos and EP’s all rule too. The reunion album is pretty boring though.

I don't get why people don't like them much. Seems like a weird mob mentality, where everyone hates Massacre because ? ? ? ?
Debut is full of banging riffs, chunky rhythms, and is a super solid headbanger with overblown whammy solos (the best kind)
|
| |
Debut isn't bad, it's just unremarkable and those "chunky" rhythms get pretty old 15 minutes in.
|
| |
nah fam they sound bangin the whole time

Not sure why Kam Lee is saying he didnt do the vocals...they sound just like him...
|
| |
Debut album art is really nice though. Pink and yellow look good together

The riffs are cookie cutter, the drumming is standard, the vox are below average. Thats why.

You're also a moron who shouldn't be allowed to have opinions
|

We have a band called massacre in our country, but they made post punk/alternative rock
Here's a glimpse on how they sound

i saw terry butler at an inhuman condition show last night and got to ask him about kam lee's claims that he didn't do the vocals for this album. terry butler's response was "kam lee's a fuckin liar". made my fucking night.
he basically said that kam lee recorded the album in secret because he wanted to do a groove metal album about his recent divorce, whom he caught his wife cheating or something. he supposedly pitched the album one time to terry butler and bill andrews but they both scoffed at the idea, so he and rick rozz secretly hired new musicians and didn't tell butler or andrews about the album being recorded. terry said that kam lee basically fell off the face of the earth and refused to speak to him or bill andrews for about 3 years, for basically no reason. apparently, the album was actually recorded in like 1992 or 1993, but kam lee thought the final product was so awful that he refused to have it released. however, the studio eventually lost money on it and decided that they had to drop it in some capacity 3-4 years later beyond kam lee's wishes. lee never wanted it to see the light of day and pretended his vocals and lyrics were rewritten and rerecorded by manager of the recording studio, even though they're clearly kam lee.

this is terrible but after listening to a bunch of thrash bands go groove it really helps that this fails in such hilarious and fascinating ways instead of being mind-numbingly boring.
