this brings the pain, and is music we desperately need, especially here on sputnik where I see staggering amounts of homophobia in metal reviews/discussions.
Also Trump's America is poison, there's gonna be polarization. I'm not sure if lgbt people fighting for equal rights, hate crime / hate speech legislation is really that extremely authoritarian - I don't know the bands personal polilitic/perspective/ideology and even if it is "radical" as you claim, perhaps its a bit refreshing and controversial - I don't share communist views, but I do agree that USA still has many toxic, regressive attitudes and values, and are still pretty behind the curve on lgbt/human rights

I was a little bummed to find out it was a cover record too, but the pressing is nice, packaging is cool and Thou's side is pretty solid so, ehhh. No real regret.

to a certain extent this is true, but it could still use some improvement. i admit i don't spend enough time in comment threads to really know the extent of the problem, but i still see "faggot" thrown around a fair amount, and there are some users who like to use casual homophobia to be ~*edgy*~. transphobia can be an issue too, i've had quite a few moments of frustration as a non-binary sputniker
