like i’ve been in a band where i’ve been forced to write third rate led zeppelin songs this just sounds like a throwback to that very not fun experience

“If you rate this with a 1 or a 1,5 you are a trap fan or a soyboy with null IQ who doesn't appreciate art.”
That’s a hot take my dude and also a very wrong one

"And this is derivative but not nearly as bad as all 4 of you claim."
I'm willing to agree that it's not that bad, but it is boring, and it is derivative. That's why I don't like it. People say Kevin Parker sounds like John Lennon, but there are a wealth of differences between their voices. Kevin has even stated he doesn't listen to the Beatles as much as his bandmates. From what I've read, Josh Kiszka has a similar story, or at least that he'd developed his technique before he knew who Led Zeppelin was. With how similar their influences are, there's not much else for us to discuss, except for the striking resemblance to both Robert Plant and Andrew Stockdale, not to mention how he uses all of Plant's signature embellishments in different places. Of course he has time to play with his voice and change, but I'm not optimistic about Greta Van Fleet's future. Not every family can be an Allman Brothers Band.
At this point I'm ready to forget about Greta Van Fleet for a while. I didn't intend for my review to be as cynical as the other three, but having listened to Led Zeppelin to the point of over-saturation in my youth, stuff like this doesn't do much for me.

“Rock/metal artists who make music these days are heroes.”
Alright then
@Jac: Maybe I’m misunderstanding your point but I fail to see how having a dissenting opinion on these guys makes our reviews disingenuous. I feel like I did a fair bit more than just appeal to critical authority when it comes to Zep and actually explained why they deserve the praise they do.
Additionally I want to point out that my critique was not at GVF fans or rock fans in a broader sense, it was directed towards those fans who place a derivative band like this on a pedestal while simultaneously claiming that other genres are killing rock, not the horrific lack of originality. This seems pretty intuitive but it seems like people are missing the point

“Most of the people complaining about the death of rock and hating this band due to the fact they are a revival act like a lot of the 00s indie rock acts are just soyboys who defend lil pump and don't explore the rock acts beyond the radio, those are also the same kind of people complaining about safe spaces, cultural appropiation and silly shit.“
Watch out gents, we have a #MachoBoy here

I learned a new word today, exciting
'soy boy'

'I think that with the uprising of these guys, nothing more, kaleo, highly suspect, nothing but thieves, mac de marco and more; mainstream rock will be so much different and much better'
and then they'll generate a bunch of bad clones and people will get tired of them, and then rock acts after them will mix in a bunch of trendy pop elements from the time, and then there'll be a revivalist wave, and then they'll generate a bunch of bad clones, and then people will get tired of them, and then rock acts after them will mix in a bunch of a trendy pop elements from the time, and then there'll be a revivalist wave....

“It seems you dont have arguments lad”
The manifestation of fragile masculinity is not an argument worth countering. Try making a legitimate case for my opinion being incorrect beyond just “only pussy snowflakes hate this album”

^Agreed.

'toxic masculinity' is a funny phrase because it's one that 97% of the world's population hates but 93% of the world's population would agree with the principle behind it
and trust me, I did the research
