The...how to say this in a politically correct fashion...the drooling lobotomised howling loon arm-lickin' vocals...well I actually think they're what make this album.

I don't think I managed to keep that politically correct but I think you all got what I'm saying.

Hm, I suppose I should check this at some point. Great review although for some reason pointing out other peoples complaints in a review always irked me a bit.

Not sure about this new direction they have taken, as they say don't try and fix it if it ain't broke. Even after multiple listens only first side is half decent, the one track that really stands out to me thats Disaffectation. Tim Darcy sounds like a Kevin Rowland / Hayden Thorpe mash up. The whole album just sounds like its dipping its toes into lots of genres with no cohesion. What is with the rubbish u2 impressions at end of Desire and the Brit-pop section on Take Everything. Hope this album is a grower if not its a step in the wrong direction personally. Even Saturday Night was a better listen than this. Back to the drawing board lads, i still have hope for album four.

I think this is the walrus John Lennon prophesied about all those years ago. And it sings!

I'm surprised by how many people are surprised by the direction they took. This isn't all that off from the first two albums and feels like a pretty natural progression

I don't mind the musical direction.. I just wish this little chipmunk would take the acorns out of his cheeks before singing.. no one's going to steal them..
