Aberf! Your dig — I’ve been jamming that record SO hard the past few days. Sweet lord. I was actually going to start my review on it tomorrow.

Hope you enjoy them. You're in luck with Ghoul because it's one of their best produced lives actually.

Thanks again -- I never really tapped into the deg community here until now. I just popped in every now and then and tbh I'm upset it has taken me this long haha. Like I've legit been trying to figure out how the hell to watch that dvd forever.

@heyadam Album is equivalent to Impromptu Jazz + Signature Ichiko's sound. It owns yea.
|
| |
@Aberf not to derail the thread, but I think it was the second to last track where her voice and the horn sound were indistinguishable and I legit lost sense of time haha.

Should have joined sooner ;)
I'll quickly list the shows which aren't listed on the site:
Arche at Nippon Budokan: It's on the site but not listed anywhere so I'll give you the mega links. Day 1: https://mega.nz/#F!SgpV2QRC!YmD1SnMJxGAmJIb8b4gRgA
Day 2: https://mega.nz/#F!2hA0GZiD!I15AASsbbPlYhuaa_BdDSQ
Modes: Minus Mode Gauze without joining a private invite tracker you can't watch these unless you use Rutracker. If you have Discord and enjoy Ghoul add me and I'll help you out or just go on Rutracker.

The Japanese music lovers in here are some pretty chill dudes. Especially this dude above me.

Thanks babez.

I feel at home. It was kind of absurd, really -- I was listening to the aforementioned Ichiko Aoba record and I'm just starting to work my way through Murakami's novels again, but I got sidetracked and wound up here only to actually be introduced to some of the J-music homies.
Rad.
And thanks for the info, forreals. My first goal (which will probably take a month with my internet situation) is to knock out Ghoul haha. I'm so, ridiculously, stoked.

This sounds disappointing as hell, but I never had too much of an interest in this band's works (most of what I've listened to from them is a 3/5 and nothing more), great review.

Lol, you annihilated this. Very good read, btw.
Some changes are also evident for the mid-era stuff which never had a stellar production in the first place, so I don't mind how certain tracks sound on this. The use of original Uroboros is indeed a pity and most of the 3rd disc is basically unchanged outside the small modifications used to make all songs have sort of a consistent sound.
Also, for the most part this sticks too much to singles despite the huge track list, outside the remakes and the occasional rare cut like "Ware..." or "Namamekashiki...". I know people called the 2007 DECADE compilations rushed, but they actually had quite a few interesting picks.

Cheers Evo.
And yeah, the earlier, middle works sound louder but that's honestly all I hear. The volume has just been cranked lol. Plus, while I agree it's very singles heavy, they were picked by "the fans." So we can't really blame DIr for that.
@awesome work calc, shall be getting on that now I know my dvd disc is almost useless lol.

this probably succ
only heard the re-recording of the IIID Empire so far (which is like, one of their worst songs so gg everyone involved in this compilation) and it was bad

Fukai was pretty enjoyable. But, yeah, they went and fucked up here. It surprises me, the comments on Youtube from fans love it. Not sure if it's just blind fandom or what, but I don't hear what they are. lol

The Empire redo was the worst thing about this whole debacle. Despite this release however I really doubt the production is gonna be like this for their new album, Tue isn't on this.

Thought this was the new LP for a second and my heart sunk hard.
