High-quality review for a high-quality album. Second half of the album is really, really well done and I'm so glad A7X decided to pull their fingers out of their assholes and realised the potential that they proved they had in City of Evil. People shit on this band all the time because of how mainstream they are but I find, for the most part, it's rather unwarranted. Hating a band becomes a meme / circlejerk after a while (e.g. Nickelback) so it's nice to see a reasoned review. Not quite a 4.5 for me (closer to 4.1, maybe 4.2) but I don't have the option for specificity.

I wasn't ready for this album when it released (and probably was too biased against A7X at the time) but man it's such a jarring shift in quality going from the post-COE releases. Never would've guessed that same band would've created something like this. Creating God and Exist are beautiful songs.

Awesome concept too. I can't think of any other rock epic that musically simulates the big bang, let alone the way they do it
