I like everything about this but the male vocals and screams, it's so frustrating... I wish the female vocal was in every song, ugh

If Tundra haven't done it I may do it. Opening the year with a new Mechina was a classic. And one album with more Mel Rose would be amazing.

I somewhat like the male vocals now, although still not entirely sold on them, they're definitely growing on me since I posted that last comment

Also I do believe that Mechina is the next level of creating music, the scope is so grand it's almost difficult to perceive sometimes, they embody the phrase "Diamond in the rough"

Nice, the post has nearly 500 likes, clearly, not many of the people who liked the post are members of this site lel, I think the low activity for this band on this site makes me think they are a really small band, but they do have a quite a following, but more people still need to discover these guys

when i stumbled upon them 5 years ago I couldn't believe I had never heard of them. Such a consistent and prolific band yet still so obscure.

So let's say I'm obsessed with Synesthesia Signal. Any band out there remotely similar?

Sorry, I haven't jammed this one since it came out so I can't recall that specific song. Off the top of my head I'd say the first two records by Tristania and Sirenia might be up your alley. They're a bit more gothic and less heavy though.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVIj22mvAm0 this was pretty cool to watch, Mechina is one of the only bands where I find the guitars to sometimes be buried in the mix, sometimes I even think the only thing the guitars are doing is chugging on the open notes 0-0-0-0 lol the cover proves me wrong anyway

Thus Always to Tyrants is such a beautiful piece, even though it is just piano it displays how good at composing they really are imo, with the stripped back movement, it's so entrancing, a part of me wishes that more of that stuff was spread throughout the album, but straight 5 mins of beautiful piano, I can't really complain! lol
