"T.R.O.Y." is the greatest hip-hop song of all-time.

some songs here are almost as good though, e.g In The Flesh, Check It Out

I used to get so hype when that intro to NBA Street Vol. 2 came on. Shit was the business.
Fair enough, though.

yup, now TROY really is my favorite hip hop song of all time. Walking through Manhattan with that shit on and ATCQ's Electric Relaxation is spellbinding.

Good pick dude, that imagery sounds awesome. Just wait until it starts snowing to get the full effect

CL Smooth is simply perfect on this! He is perfect on this. I think he's still a bit restrained on Mecca, but this one is totally comfortable.

Nice bump considering I literally just got this on vinyl in the mail an hour ago lmao

I realized that the two of them fit so well because the styles complemented each other; CL's rap approach was soothing, with less pronounced pauses to breathe and no habit of intensifying the ending, and the stickiness of his pronunciation could change with the rhythm, these characteristics combined with his tone allow Pete to use smooth jazz and funk samples at will.

Agreed. To put it a bit more simplistically I’ve always felt that they both have a pretty wholesome vibe that meshes super well together

I have decided that Mecca is better than this
