I’m still absorbing individual tracks but I’m not huge on the first two or last three tracks and “Luxury”. I’m just not as big on the scrappy vibe of the whole thing and it runs too long. It doesn’t even really feel like an album, more like a compilation or demo CD. There’s room to grow for sure though.

“Surprise, Honeycomb”, “Won’t Get Too Far”, “Jane Fakes A Kiss”, “I’ve Made Enough Friends” and “Safe and Comfortable” are amazing though.

Ah, that's fair enough - it's defo a step back melody-wise from meadowlands. However, like meadowlands, I think it takes time to absorb a lot of the catchy lil hooks! I also love the messy nature of it. Your fav tracks are akin to my favourites from this, however they definitely indicate that you like the more meadowlands leaning songs from this one.
