Not sure how I feel about that new bridge in Missing You, but as a whole the new version is banging. Definitely a different vibe from the original.

Different, darker vibe for sure. I slightly prefer the original, but both are good.

The original caters more to the chorus, they knew they wrote a good one and stuck to it. Great to finally hear that riff halfway through 1996 with a decent guitar!

Prefer the new 1996 and missing you by far - I think they've both improved on tracks I already liked. Especially the first verse of missing you.
Brothers I was iffy in at first, liked the drums but not the chorus guitar. I'm coming around to it though.
Can't wait until they re-release good man and battalions a few months from now in lieu of actual new content.

"Do you guys like better the new version of Nobody Moves or the older one?"
Hadn't even heard the Leaked Demos 2006 version until just now and I think that one might be better. The second half has a bit crisper guitar tone that suits it well, not that the FOYD version doesn't.

Good write up sowing. I liked the demos a lot better though. I'm just ready for them to drop that damn last album. It's been too long.

Yeah as much as I enjoy revisiting the demos from a new perspective, I REALLY hope the new album is actually new material.

"It's been too long"
I've only listened to them for about two years and I'm already getting impatient. Can't imagine what the longtime fans are feeling.

"Can't imagine what the longtime fans are feeling."
It's been annoying. But it will all be worth it if they deliver a decent 5th LP this year.

I'll say the good thing about brand news records is that when they come out it takes me several listens and even years before things can click and I can really appreciate them. I remember when Daisy first came out and I initially dismissed it as just a solid addition to their discography, but with time it's probably my favorite by them.

Every BN album is like wine that way. I've liked some albums right away and taken time to come around to others, but none of them have ever gotten worse with time just better.

Honestly, I don't need their new album to be the second coming of Jesus christ as long as they put some heart into it, I'll be fine with that.

I just hope it's of the same quality as the majority of their discog
want to see them continue their legacy of greatness and not go out with a thud

Am I the only one that dislikes the new 1996?

I thought I was the only one who heard the parallels between those songs. They're not really all THAT similar, but they definitely share some traits.
I largely prefer Mene over Nightmare

"Am I the only one that dislikes the new 1996?"
Probably not. I think it's about equal to the original, although I like how the production brings out the acoustics better on the new recording.

Must be sarcasm? Or I've entered an alternate reality where zak is capable of appreciating BN...
