A masterpiece. Fucking trippy shit. This and the next one, "Schwingungen", are must-haves for any stoner who loves late 60s/early 70s trippy psych/free-form/cosmic stuff.

The same might go for, say, Tago Mago, a record that absolutely blew my mind when I was, again, 15 or 16. Hearing it now, I hear what is a very good prog record that slots comfortably into the breathtaking array of heavy, novel musical ideas being floated in the very 60s and early 70s--but not something that's altogether different from the kind of music that I was literally told by my friends that I must hate because it was pretentious, intellectual garbage which today sounds to me like simply a fuller realization of the general prog ethos (I'm thinking of favorites such as Close to the Edge or Selling England by the Pound).

Incredible album, and great review. This clearly had a massive influence on GYBE, and it's from 1971, amazing!
