@TVC I never said the album's story was unrealistic, I said he simply tells a scary (true) story. The problem is he completely lacks the ability to take a step back and analyze or interpret his story in a meaningful, emotional or original way.

As for the rest of you. I love how no one can validly criticize the review. I haven't heard this much disgruntled/frustrated name-calling since I told my third grade class the WWF was fake. Your NEGs are like salty teardrops for my popcorn.

Also real talk i abandoned the review after your first paragraph because the level of immaturity between bad puns, referencing Alvin and the Chipmunks as a criticism on Kendrick's voice (I assume), and calling ALL critics who liked this album "pretentious" suggests to me that your opinion cannot be taken seriously nor can I care to hear you out if you cant show a solid form of dignity when facing the crowd with an opinion that is polarizing from the majority population.

Its a waste of time, is what im trying to say, because you treat it like it is a waste of time and shouldnt be taken seriously.

There's no bitching going on by me. I simply stated facts about this album that people don't want to hear.

and what kind of a monster doesn't like puns?

the kind that are sandwiched between "Rapper Kendrick Lamar, formerly "K-Dot", and former member of Alvin and the Chipmunks, brought interest to a dying genre by releasing" and "an album that received both high commercial and critical acclaim by pretentious critics looking to gain "street cred".

"bitching about an entire community "

What in the actual fuck are you talking about?

Yes, hip hop critics are generally/commonly either:

A) pretentious and/or delusional people who literally chose their career path to boost their "street cred".

or

B) Disconnected and/or sheltered people who don't understand the culture or background to the music at all.

Criticizing reviewers for generally being pretentious about this album when i'm obviously rating it lower than the common rating is hardly inflammatory if you ask me. Yall are too sensitive.

Bro I couldn't care less about the "Kendrick community". I just enjoy ranking rappers and think he's not that great relatively - I'm just making an argument. Is mocking people who disagree with me the right way to make an argument? Depends on how seriously you take yourself and this conversation. If you ask me you shouldn't be taking this seriously enough to actually be upset that I criticized a rapper and said his fans are wrong/ critics are pretentious in a sarcastic-joking way.

Like all of your criticism just shows that you probably would like tpab more but it seems that you have some anti-kendrick or more extreme, anti-hip hop stance that keeps you from enjoying a pretty good album
