Nice review, only raised an eyebrow when you said it can't be pigeonholed into "beauty" or "sorrow" but then immediately described it as beautiful.

yeah I'd probably ramble on and on about a symphony but the review gets it done pretty well in a short space. only gripe is when you use phrases like "I was not disappointed" and "bereft of flaws" in place of taking the opportunity to say how you did feel and recapping what it does have.

ive rambled plenty about his other symphonies in my other reviews, didnt feel the need to in this one but i can definitely beef it up a bit
|
| |
nah it's good. just a personal preference, like passive vs. active voice. I ought to go read your others then. I didn't know you reviewed a bunch.

Awesome review, honestly am now chomping at the bit to listen to this. Nice work, Ins.

I'm honestly not sure it would be right to say anything is underrated by this guy... even some non-music listeners like beethoven
|
| |
he was a swell guy if you weren't a piano
|

His name is pretty much synonymous with genius in a musical sense so yeah.
I've never been awe-struck by him as a symphonist tbh, I've always preferred his works with small ensembles or a solo instrument.
