I gave this a listen today and only a couple songs really interested me tbh. I'll spin it a couple more times though, maybe it'll grow.

Made of Stone's bridge ironically makes me fall in love with Elena Tonra and this band.

This is so so good; New Ways, No Care & especially Doing The Right Thing are near perfect songs. Such a good album to end winter with.

I wish his negative reviews were a bit more fleshed out and critical, but he made a few reasonable points. Given the hate he has for Foxing's dealer, his opinion on this is understandable (though I do think this album is quite a bit better). Never mind, though. Some people on this site will hate it, too, but I'm loving this right now. I can't stop listening to Made of Stone and I love Elena's vocals on most of the tracks. Her restraint only makes the subtle changes in inflection that much more powerful. She ranges from numb to scared to aggressive in a manner subdued though nevertheless beautiful.

'no care' is pretty cool but everything else is unseasoned soup

Sorry to post another reviewers quote here, but I just watched Fantano's review of this and couldn't resist, because these words hit the nail on the head in terms of what I think about this album:
"Depressing music shouldn't simply be music that lacks excitement or happiness. That's not sad. That's just mediocre."
