This is certainly a mediocre album, at best. The songwriting was toned down and boring. I don't really care for any Metallica beyond the black album, and even that one is pushing it.

reload is a good album, it isnt as good as the previous albums but you cant expect a bunch of old man playing trash/speed metal like they did before...besides reload has very good lyrics and some cool riffsThis Message Edited On 12.07.05This Message Edited On 12.07.05

I find this album to be very average, but there's a couple gems on this that pull out of mediocrity for me. Fixxxer is one of my favorite Metallica songs ever. Not to mention that fact that Low Man's Lyric is absolutely beautiful.

I might as well just put this album on eBay or something. I never listen to it and I don't intend on picking it up ever again.

Sell it as a coaster.

Nah, just kidding. I actually quite like ReLoad. It's got more character than it's predecessor, but that had more style. There's a lot of filler, but for an alternative rock album, it's no slouch.

Not Metallica's best by any means, but it gets occasional rotation in my room.

This is a poor record. At times I would take St. Anger over this.

I hate how people say all the songs on this album sound the same, or all the solos. Kill 'Em All, anyone?

dude everyone has different tastes.....and the fact that the black album is beneath st anger doesnt mean i dont like it, its just that i found little standouts in the black album (my friend of misery, holier than thou, the god that failed, wherever i may roam) and i just like st anger a lot for some reason

yeah.....well mostly everybody loves kill em all and their self titled.....i think reload and st anger should get more props, if you actually listen reload is a freaking incrediblle album, i love the riffs, lars's drumming isnt out of this world but its very nice drum playing, the bass is somewhat good, and overall is an awesome album, just the same with st anger, but people rejected because its not as good as AJFA, or MOP but its still an awesome album

Fixxxer In my opinion deserves a 5. It is one of my favourite songs from the 90's (Besides Sandman and Nothing Else Matters).

I think this cd like (like load) is underrated because it's not Metallica's usual work so emidiatly say its garbage. But if you look at this album and compare it some of today's biggest bands like blink-182 and green day, its clearly superior to their like 4 chord songs and medioker riffs. The only reason this album has kind of a low rating is because people are comparing it like the Black Album which is shere genius so this album seems inferior but compared to most other music its quite good, excellent even.
