Kind of enjoyed a few songs off this.
woah
i thought this of all bands would be the anti-wiz

clim, maybe its the production that feels contrived? its extremely polished even for the band, but i think it suits their sound
maybe. slick, super-tight production is obviously standard for this type of music, but its just too perfect here, to the point where most of the instrumentals feel devoid of personality. shame cause instrumentally, everyone in the band is super talented

This was better than Alpha, still not very good. I just don't understand why they thought making a double album would be a good idea. If it was just one album with all the crap cut out it could be actually somewhat decent.

i kinda agree that it wouldve been better as one album but i cant think of which tracks should be cut. the only one that stands out is 'the event' and maybe 'priestess'. every other track serves some function in its context

I like this album less every time I listen to it and I'm having a hard time articulating exactly why in a way that deviates enough from my last review :/

I recently heard a few of Periphery's cult followers actually admit that Periphery is a social liability. In response to such admissions Periphery began a campaign of retribution against many of its polity for their refusal to stay on message and support Periphery's central mission, namely to combine, in a rare mixture, bestial cruelty and an inconceivable gift for lying. Harsh retribution will undoubtedly make its expositors think twice before acknowledging that Periphery's latest diatribe is Periphery-style lunacy at its very finest. Every despicable djent of that diatribe paints a perfect picture of Periphery's hysteria and reveals that I would never take a job working for Periphery. Given their loathsome philippics, who would want to?

I love Omega, but if Periphery wants to start using technical piano arrangements in their songs, they would seriously benefit from getting an actual piano player. It sounds a little too mechanical for it's own good.
That being said, great review. and seriously awesome album.

Great review, 'Priestess' is bearable and I remember liking the singles so I should enjoy this more than Alpha which is awful for 60% of its running time

i've listened to juggernaut 10 or so times now, and i really like it. i went back to Periphery 2 today, and the new album is just way more polished. yeah, the solos on the jugg are nowhere near what they were on P2, but as a whole package it is much more enjoyable
