Antichrist Superstar's average is unacceptable. The album is a contemporary classic and is a one-of-a-kind creation of art. The amount of emotions, drugs and nihilism that went into that album can not be replicated again.

I don't know if its known on here yet or now but Twiggy actually played no part in the production of this album. In his recent interview with Rolling Stone Manson confirmed it. I don't know why, but Bates handled all of the guitar and bass duties here. Twiggy is still in the band though and will be playing bass on the tour.

Bates certainly did a great job, either way. Knew his name from certain soundtracks and was surprised to see he ended up in this band.

I recently read that too, Bass. It's also as such on the album credits on the CD I have, which only has a "Special Thanks To" Twiggy, but no mention of him playing or contributing to the album.

Well I don't mind because Twiggy's songwriting has been a little eh over the last few years. Would rather him sit this one out and re-boot creatively.

I recommend it, I had zero interest in this record a few months ago but that's totally changed for me.

That's weird. Manson was always obsessed with Twiggy. It's weird he left him out of the entire songwriting process.

With how the last two records went though, I'm sure he realized he was out a cross road. He was one more lame record away from doing a month long stint in Vegas.

Marilyn Manson influenced by the blues... I like it a lot.

Speaking of Manson and the blues, his cover of "I Put a Spell on You", from Smells like Children, is fantastic.

i asked this before but didn't get a sure answer is it just me or are the bonus tracks just acoustic versions of songs already on the album with different title names?

i'm enjoying this more with each listen mason's most solid album in a really long time this will probably end up being a 3.5 for me.i really enjoy the first 3 manson albums holy wood was cool but didn't do much for me TGAG did nothing for me EMDM is very underrated imo & the last two albums before this one were very generic to me.

very good review. Feeling about the same regarding Pale Emperor, but I need to spin it a few more times.
