I couldn't believe I had gone so many years not listening to this album but only VDTF. Everything on this one felt natural especially Liv's vocals. Instrumentally it was simple in comparison but the atmosphere is so good.

lol indeed. No band takes me more to my teen years than these guys and The Gathering. Discovered them literally on the same day.

I always preferred The Gathering by far but I have fond memories of these guys too. How is the latest ToTr btw? You covered that one too, right? Gotta check it out.

The Gathering is also an incredible band. Really loved what they were doing on their pre-f_then_else albums.
Fortunately, they removed all the electronica elements and went back to a heavier Aegis style. It's pretty solid but not as inspired as this one and the growls are not as good as in the past. But if you liked what they did before Musique, you'll enjoy it.
