The singles are actually two of the best songs on this IMO
Take from that what what you will =/

I do like the album cover though.

I get that your trying to put a human voice in your review which is really cool, but it feels sorta forced, especially when a few of your sentences tend to repeat themselves unnecessarily. Here's an example:
"Maybe I am being too harsh, but to anyone who actually managed to sit through the entire of the aforementioned album then you sir, deserve a medal"
the flow is very awkward here and unless English isn't your first and most fluent language, you can read it to yourself and kinda see what I mean. the sentence after isn't very polished either:
"So here we are, fast forward three years, subtract a vocalist and bassist and you will end up where we are now"
the beginning and ending of this phrase states the exact same thing, and not enough information is conveyed between it to mask that. take out the first four words of the sentence and I think it'd be much better, I even really like the way you subtly mention the lineup change. I'll be honest since these mistakes showed up in the first few sentences I stopped reading, but I think if you work a little at proofreading not just for grammar or spelling but instead for sentence structure and how the review actually reads, you'd be pretty great writer. just some tips man, sorry for the rant and don't worry you didn't get a neg from me

Listened to the first five songs and stopped. Man it's just so uninspired. What made fun the first album was the "mish-mash", here it's just a sumerian band aspiring to be a rise band.

Cheers for the tips, don't worry feedback is always good, will make sure I proof read a lot more next time.

I really enjoyed reading this review. Great Job!

Enough with metalcore bands putting photos of hands on their album covers.

these are some of the worst lyrics i've ever heard

Album Rating: 1.5
Shitty production and boring song structure. Some cool riffs hidden in there, but this is mostly awful. After the success of Divided By they got lazy and confident that anything they put out would be met with acclaim. If Sumerian resigns this band, I'll be blown away. Pre-orders aside, they probably only sold like 6 copies of this album.

This would be great if it came out 8 years ago.

vocals are a step down and the songwriting is more generic, but at least they're consistent. divided by was just a clusterfuck of shit put together

The clusterfuck made it funny. I think nobody would have listened to it if it weren't for being a
mashup of stupid drops and ridiculous changes of genre. This one is consistent ly consistent boredom -
everyone saying this is original just has no clue about the existence of metalcore and what bands have
been putting up for like ten years.

I know a couple guys that are obsessed with this band and every project of their's I've listened to just doesn't sit well with me.
Specifically with this release. There's nothing all that terrible here, but nothing here is above average.

Great review. But I don't necessarily agree with the "goofy lyrics" statement. I rather enjoyed the more simple, yet emotionally relative lyrics.

...and they just went on an indefinite hiatus.

easy call after this disaster.

The two og guitarists need to just make instrumental shit. the instrumental playthroughs of divided by sound way better then the album versions and especially this shit album.

I have a soft spot for this band, but this album is pretty nondescript. Nothing here very memorable or interesting.

I didn't dig this album at first but its really been growing on me lately. The whole album has really intense vibes throughout

Idk I actually liked their old stuff but this just doesn't do a damn thing for me. Sad
I remember going to see them when their ep was the only thing released. They were opening for For the Fallen Dreams, Motionless In White(coincidentally the first time I'd heard them, show made me a fan) and Oceano headlining. I got to play the guitarist's guitar for a little bit pre show and they said pot was the whole reason why they fucked around in their songs so much
