i thought originally, they played a 3 night show and played a full album each night

@Underflow
That's the general consensus and I would stand by it. If the band didn't perform so many covers, they could've offered up some obscure gems from their library. I would've loved to hear songs like "Brena" from Mer de Noms or "Gravity" from The Thirteenth Step.

kinda hard to release a full length album on a major label with mainstream radio promotion and just
pretend it never came out
|

Not really. Plenty of bands have realized some of their material isn't worth being played live and have abandoned it over the years.

they only have 3 albums haha if they were the melvins yea, i'm just saying its a long ass show for a
small discography

After listening to this I realized almost all the songs off Thirteenth Step are better live

I'll start off by saying I'm a huge 'Tool' and 'APC' fan, and think Maynard has an extraordinarily unique set of pipes. That being said, I generally don't care about live releases. Most of the time they sound terrible. But this might be the single best live album I've ever heard. The songs carry the essence of what a live performance is like, and the performnaces across the board are spot on perfect. The mix is fantastic too. Can't really say enough positive about this. Buy it!

The vocals in the second half of Orestes are probably the best vocals i've ever heard

My favourite is When the Levee Breaks, album version is kinda boring but this one is gold (especially the beginning).
Aslo, I saw APC in summer and although the concert wasn't really bad, I was quite dissapointed that it didn't have the drive of Stone and Echo. One of my favourite live albums.
