wrong, i take users seriously. if there's a serious discussion i'm serious about it. if you say "lol this band is gay" i most likely will call you out on it, even if you meant it on a joke (not a fan of that type of socially accepted homophobia). if you take issue with that, okay, criticize me for that.

Yeah I'm gonna have to go with toxin on this one, he really doesn't take this site that seriously from what I've seen. You can be serious when you feel it's necessary and still act like a dumbass the other 90% of the time for the hell of it, that doesn't really make you too serious

if you don't read the last psychiatrist, it's sort of hard to explain, but it's not really an insult so much as an observation (promise). i'd get into it but i don't know that you're interested so why bother?

I really love how people often seem to try to evaluate personalities over the internet when the only thing we can even slightly come close to ascertain is the meaning of the words in front of us - which could otherwise be attitude - which isn't even slightly given. The presumption about being able to filter intent through a mess of words is also quite amusing.

@toxin: You're insinuating Adrian's 'smug' or 'narcissistic'. This is a presumption regarding either his person (since most people are not yet able/have problems with [I'm just gonna presume so] to differentiate between people and their behavior since the whole "personality schmo" is ingrained in our thinking) or his intentions.
You can't evaluate intent solely through words (mostly not even through body language since our brain has a tendency to fool us as protection mechanism and evolutionary BS modern humans don't need anymore) and you can't evaluate people solely through their words.

Whether you could effectively evaluate even a certain type of behavior exhibited by person X through the internet is debatable since there is no way to ascertain to which extent this behavior is exhibited in other instances - especially reality.

Adrian is insinuating you're being way too serious, which is also a presumption to which every of the above conditions apply.

@wolf, gotcha. maybe it'd have been better to say at that moment that his comment as i perceived it was narcissistic, but that doesn't have the same ring to it.
