Wow, words cannot describe how disappointed I am about this. Core and Shin-Ken were incredible, but this is just an overly-proggresive mess. Great review however, pos'd

2.5? I think I might cry. I was really excited when I heard that they were coming out with a new album, via Ne Obliviscaris' Facebook post, of all things.

And considering the second album on their charts is Gloryhammer I wouldn't give them that much validation ever.

2.5 is way off base. The song structures here are very innovative, and the whole thing sounds extremely polished.

This album is amazing. The guitar playing is so much more proficient and there is a certain complexity to many of their songs that I find more memorable than their previous albums. I found myself humming certain riffs or solos for days after first hearing this. Strongly disagree with this review but to each his own.

This grew a lot on me once I managed to swallow their new style, which I absolutely detested at first listen. I hardly doubt I'll rate this above a 3.5 though, too much unnecessary chug for my personal taste. But who knows, I still love this band.
