Eh, I don't really agree. There's nothing special about the good tracks on this album. They're just mainstream/hard rock songs done really well. I mean okay there are some strings and piano in here but beyond that there's no stroke of creative genius here that would make them unable to write something this high quality again. IMO anyways

how's this hardcore metal

even when i jammed this i thought it was "alternative metal" or sth i didn't think i was a metalhead lol

i've found people who don't really listen to much "heavy" music tend to fuck up genres like crazy. pretty much anything that has any level of aggression or intensity to it, even with something like this where there's so little it's barely even there, they just label as either 1. heavy metal 2. death metal 3. rock or 4. screamo

i spent like 5 minutes educating one of my friends who's into a bunch of scene shit on what screamo actually is after she asked if i liked the genre and she just replied with telling me she already knew all that and rec'ing me bmth

I had someone I work with refer to Rise Against as a screamo band just because of the few songs on Endgame with harsh
vox.
