Well it's supposed to sound rough. A lot of the earlier heavy albums had that kind of production. I think that kind of lo-fi feel of certain tracks really makes them better though. Like "SWLABR" or Fresh Cream's "Rollin and Tumblin" wouldn't have the same kind of impact without that.

Agreed, this album wouldn't be the same if it had a cleaner, more polished production.

It's equally psychedelic and blues so yeah what Sgt said. Also, dudes who enjoy this one should really check Black Cat Bones - Barbed Wire Sandwich.

Barbed Wire Sandwich is great. It's not really that heavy, KILL.

I'll be sure to check it out, manosg. Is it psychedelic rock too or just blues rock?

Not so much heavy. They sound like a mix of Cream, early Fleetwood Mac, Free and Ten Years After which is really cool.

@Sgt

They definitely have incorporated psych elements in their sound but I'd say that they tend to be a bit more blues that psych.

i don't want it cleaner or more polished, but anything approaching heavy or powerful sounding would be nice. paranoid was only released a few years later and it sounds awesome

personally I have no issues with the production here. classic raw 60s sound which has its charm.
