"That's not what I wrote in the review."
Not it isn't! But it's what it should be if you wanted to be perfectly correct.
Only thing one has to do is connect the dots and grasp that the band's popularity was minute, whereas it should be much much larger.
That would work out fine if you didn't start bringing in the extra elements (like time) into your equation.
Then on a first level you have to take my written word for it, simply because I personally don't waste time and effort in writing bs about music or anything else whatsoever.
Your written word would have been fine if not for the discrepancies I have alluded to.
The thing about Google can be used on a second level. I always do it because I can't have enough info about something on most cases.
Yeah, that's great.

Not it isn't! But it's what it should be if you wanted to be perfectly correct.
If MD popularity ever increased since their dissolution, it was only by a very small margin, almost infinitesimal... Unfortunately...
That would work out fine if you didn't start bringing in the extra elements (like time) into your equation.
MD were obscure during their first days because of law and band contract issues, MD were obscure when they released their albums, because they were too complex and quirky to be understood by the mainstream.
They didn't make it big even when '90s prog metal was huge in both banks of the Atlantic.
If I'm not making the above perfectly clear in my opening paragraph, then I will edit, I can't say anything else...

I can't say anything else...
Neither can I. Good discussion.

The re-recording of the classic material is great, but not excellent since the past cannot be recaptured in full.
It's more of a statement that the current lineup has more to give than what was actually given on Wanderer At The Edge Of Time.

Excellent work my man. This was an awesome album.
Waaaaay more enjoyable than the band's last two albums.

While I fully agree about their last album, I agree partially for Lurking Fear.
While the music was an excellent 50-50 mix of tech thrash and euro power metal, the sound production was an acquired taste and not in a good sense.
My belief is that they should stick to tech thrash and loose the power metal agenda.
As for this compilation, the original material is what saves the day.

These guys have been around since 1987.
Their main game - and one of the themes in this compilation - is tech-thrash excellently combined with elements from classical music.

So
symphonic thrash?
sweet!

I wouldn't put it that way.
It's prog thrash with the riffing being totally aggressive and influenced by classical music.
No keyboards inside

I got to listen to it in 2001.
Probably the best Mekong Delta record.
Why don't you rate it?

The artwork is a secondary sketch from the band's album Dances Of Death and it is made by Joachim Luttke.
