This isn't terrible or anything, but it's not what I was expecting. The entire thing sounds very IDM-like, whereas I thought this would have drum and bass in the more traditional sense.

DnB for the most part really does nothing for me, though I do enjoy a bit of Noisia and a few other producers. But as a whole I just find it really stale, it's always the same old breaks and buildups in like every song I listen to :/

Yeah, that's the only time I've been genuinely surprised by something they've written. Funnily enough, Pitchfork have since (unsurprisingly, given their history) flip-flopped about their opinions of the album as well. They now think it's just as great
