Hey guys, thanks for all the positive comments and support. I don't know whether it was obvious, but this review was actually a bit of a rush job (as Pizza pointed out, I believe). I was on a train between Ottawa and Montreal and as luck would have it, my laptop crashed just after I pressed submit. As a result, I could not edit my work (something I always do) and the review may have suffered a little for it. Oh well =(

Glad most of you guys found something to like in it though =)

As long as your next Disney review is flawless it's fine, really. ;)

i did a statistical breakdown in excel when they first announced the tracklist

only other band besides lp with songs on all 3 = tbs

the used are on the first 2 ost's

think its staind who are on the first and now the 3rd

only hope for me is you = the 2nd best song on danger days

weird no used song but an mcr track

since the song used in the first movie by the used

is about gerard way

after they broke up

(its used in the scene where they get into bumblebee and are driving away from the cop car transformer and shit)

right after 'ARE YOU EBAY USER LADIESMAN..." BLA BLA BLA

monster's an ok pop song but its not decode... no pop punk on that shit, just straight poppion

Neg due to the lack of a seven paragraph analysis on how awesome Monster is.

Academy I only understood half of what you said there.

And yes, "Iridescent" is such a piece of turd. And mind you, this is coming from a guy who liked A Thousand Suns.

And you know what makes me lol? This bit from a review I found online: "From A Thousand Suns, Linkin Park's "Iridescent" finds solace in an airy electronic bliss before morphing into one of the most powerful refrains of the band's career. Chester Bennington's voice borders on heavenly as it rises along with the deep, dark orchestra of synths, keyboards, guitar, bass, and drums. Mike Shinoda spills his heart on the verse, matching Radiohead with a Thom Yorke-style expulsion of emotion. The song sees Linkin reaching another level of genius, and it's the perfect kick-off to the album. The final crescendo would make Michael Bay proud in terms of how epic it is. "

The review concluded by giving the album 4.5/5. I wonder how much the writer was paid to say all that because NO ONE in their right mind would.

sorry i'm watching tv on the internet and i know i put a lot there

i can clarify if u really wanna know, but feel free to ignor

this is a tight, well-written piece but I am not sure it works as a review

then again, i'm not really sure how a review of a compilation soundtrack is supposed to go. i wrote a pretty lame one myself back in the day (house of wax).

I'd agree with you that this review is a bit of a hit-and-miss in some parts. I probably could have done a better job with the whole affair. My favourite template for a compilation review is Atavan's work on the Eclipse soundtrack. IMHO that's what a compilation soundtrack review should be like. Although in my defense Atavan had real songs to write about; it's not easy to say a lot about something as uninteresting as Knuckle-Draggers 101 =(
