EWTRTW is better, but yes, it is great.

Listen is the greatest song they've created, without a doubt.

More sputnikers should be reviewing pop records. A shame they are often forgotten.

Randomly decided to check out TFF recently, been jamming this and The Hurting alot since. Pretty cool stuff for 80's pop.

I'm starting to feel that way. I only listened to the singles at first because I was afraid the other tracks would suck.

I remember I used to hear Head Over Heels on tv when I was younger and always wondered what is was because it was always stuck in my head. Ended becoming one of my all time favourite songs.

head over heals is so amazing, not to mention the fact that it's live and sounds like a studio recording

Whoa that's awesome fox.
Yeah I always got the songs from this in Donnie Darko stuck in my head, that's pretty much what drew me towards TFF.
|
| |
Is it really live?
I know the bit at the end is, but I don't think the actual track is.

The instrumental part towards the end sounds like it could be live. I thought he meant a single live take in the studio with the whole band at once.
|
| |
Ah, that makes more sense. Yeah, I believe that then.

It's sad but awesome that The Chariot is one of the only bands that still does live studio recordings now days, that's how all bands used to record. I'm not sure how prog bands in the 70's like Pink Floyd and Rush recorded though.
|
| |
Yeah, that makes the recording process even more complicated than it already is. I respect bands who did it and still do it.
As for Floyd and Rush, I am pretty sure they recorded each track of a song individually, from what I've read. Nothing wrong with it though; seems like the standard method to get the job done.
As long as there's not too much magic going on...

Yeah it makes more sense for a band like Pink Floyd or Rush to record tracks individually.
