VII, no way

It's def their most focused and enjoyable album.
|
| |
it grew on me but I found previous 4 albums more consistent and songs stuck more, pers pref I guess
|
| |
yeah VII wins for me as well
|
| |
That's their worst album imo
|
| |

I don't expect everyone to think this is a classic, but I enjoy this album every bit as much today as I did when I bought it 10 years ago. I've listened to it probably 100 times and I still hear new things from time to time.
Man, and those choruses... I'd never heard chord progressions quite like that in a chorus before this album, and I've seldom heard it since.
The lyrics - though often very emotional and evocative - are the only thing keeping me from giving this a 5.

Just bumping a classic album for my 500th comment. This will forever remain one of the greatest recordings in its genre.

The chorus to Damaged is so damn addictive, Lajon is by far one of the best vocalists in his genre

Can we talk a minute about how hard that "Crucified" riff riffs?
|
| |
This album has a total of 0 bad songs.
It's one of the best aged albums of the nu-metal era.
Great mix, great riffs, Morgan top 3 numetal drummers (Joey Jordison/Abe Cunningham up there too), Lajon singing his heart out awesome hooks...
In 2023 reslistening to it after a long time. Still crisp, still good.
