They're much better when they stick to pop-ish sound and sparingly use heavy. Their straight heavy songs are pretty poor

At first glance, this was disappointing. .... Then I listened again, and damn it, if they aren't good songwriters. Just really good songs, short or not, and whether they ditched yet more of their heavier side or not.
Also, For Those Who Have Heart is so their best album.
