This album is simply amazing. Plenty here to regard the album as one of the band's better latter works.

this and dreadful hours have their most interesting songwriting and a lil experimentation to boot.

Decided to make this one my first MDB outing; wasn't let down either. Intriguing compositions coupled with strong instrumentation and a great mixture of singing and growling come together to make an overall engrossing listen. Rules.

Haven't listened to MDB in a real long time, have everything from Turn Loose the Swans to The Dreadful Hours, but I gradually lost interest once they lost the violin. But I'm thinking might want to give them another try with this album, how does this compare to Light at the End of the World and Dreadful Hours?
