It's easy to see why this album considered a major turning point for The Flaming Lips, hell I'm going as far to say this is the first album where they managed to found their own voice. A perfect fusion of their scattershot, noise rock-like early sound and the warmer, fuzzy, mellow dream-psych-pop stuff that dominates their later albums.
