You guys are gonna think I'm crazy, but Ive never heard this album until recently...

Never seen it in a store, just always heard of the name.

Forgot about the Beasties for a while, man this album is better than the 1st .

Glad I checked it out. You guys didn't lie when you said sampling heaven!

the vocal interplay on this is amazing, as is the sampling. both are at their best in shake your rump IMO, which is unfortunate because everything else stands in its shadow (with a few coming close). I feel like this album could be a lot better, but i still love it.

a lot of people they be Jonesin' just to hear me rock the mic

they'll be staring at the radio

staying up all night

so like a pimp I'm pimpin'

I got a boat to eat shrimp in

Nothing wrong with my leg just B-boy limpin'

Got arrested at the Mardi Gras for jumping on a float

My man MCA's got a beard like a billy goat

oowah oowah is my disco call

MCA hu-huh I'm gettin' rope y'all

the best thing is the break after "it's the joint"/"shake your rump", and the bass line that comes in at 1:03. so fucking awesome.

this album is really the epitome of "hip-hop for people who don't like hip-hop"

this is the pinnacle of hip hop, the absolute zenith...at least for an old fart like me

I kinda lost interest in the genre when DMX came out though lol

haha well that too but this album along with PE's It Takes a Nation... are the ones that are consistently praised by publications that don't cater to hip-hop fans
