Yeah, Umbra just meanders along, never actually goes anywhere or does anything interesting.

I actually feel similarly. I LOVE the opening/closing riff it has, but besides that, I do think it drags a little in between.

I see what you mean.
Does anyone know where the name Umbra came from?
There's actually a sword named Umbra in Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, and I found that funny.

Not only are they instrumentally top notch but their lyrics seem to live upto it too.'The Caudal Lure' for example is one.A Caudal(Posterior) Lure is when a snake buries itself and leaves just the tip of its tail out in a hope to attract prey. and so written as an analogy to religion.Brilliant thinking, youve got to give them that

I didn't know that, whoops...
I most likely don't pay as much attention to lyrics in my reviews than I should. It's just hard to memorize lyrics for me; I'm always doing something else when I'm listening to music. I'm a busy man!

I've been addicted to "The Caudal Lure," "Deadman" and "Change" lately. Just might bump this to a 4.5, considering how much the record's back half is finally growing on me. Still need to check out Asymmetry.
