It's odd I've never heard pf these guys and I'm from Florida...

in either case I'm glad I picked this up. It's great.

This is easily my favorite Kamelot album, probably because it's not just straight up power metal like their previous releases. This release has a lot more progressive tendencies and really is a cut above anything else they've done.

I'd say this is a power-prog album, and Nevermore is more along the lines of black metal (except with a more power-metallish singer).

All that said, Kamelot put on one of the top 10 live shows I've ever seen; they really love their fans.

I just listened to Memento Mori, and that's the only Kamelot song I've ever heard. I was incredibly impressed, this is likely to be a band that I start listening to!

Fantastic album that shows that Americans, although not many of them, can make good power metal too. This Message Edited On 01.04.07This Message Edited On 01.04.07

Heck yes.

It's about time I actually got one of their albums. As much as I love them, listening to the same 5 songs gets old.

So it's a 4 after most of the first listen. I'll probably bump it up after more listens.

This has got to be the best, least cheesy power metal album of all time. It even beats out Land of the Free by Gamma Ray in my mind. If somebody were to ask me what the best metal album of the 2000's was, this would be my pick, without a doubt.

I think I like Epica more than TBH. Khan has SUCH an amazing voice... It's best to listen the cd in order.

I haven't heard the whole album, otherwise I'd probably give this a 4. It sounds awesome nonetheless, can someone recommend any of their albums that sound the closest?

Abandoned is my favorite from here.

Aside from Apocalyptica's Ruska....this is the most beautiful song ever.

Just got this. Abandoned is pretty cool. Good album so far. Jumped on the Kamelot bandwagon a bit late but no harm done.
