"Waterfall" is kind of interesting, will check further into this at some point.

Ugh, tried some of the stream.
First track was horrible, especially lyrics ("I know what it's like to be picked last in soccer")
Boo Hoo
For a split second I thought Boy and The Tiger was going to be good, then he just shirked off with a lot of "experimental" noises.

I like this but it definately gives off an eerie feel, which is due totally to the lyrics.
Not sure what I'd rate this right now.

I'm digging this right now, but suspect that it may not have much staying power for me...
|
| |
too many points where it sounds like he's a suicidal kid who's listened to too much dashboard confessional
|
| |
kind of true tbh

I fail to see the appeal of this album, but I guess it's true that suicide sells music regardless of the quality of the work. All of the songs are more like demos, the sound quality is obviously a kid in his bedroom, and the lyrics are bad.

And isn't it inconceivably mediocre?

One more thing: Aren't you plagiarizing the artist description?

He was described by his mother as a "very serious, perhaps too serious" person; she also said that the way he perceived the world was his weakness.
At the age of 16, Yonlu locked himself into his bathroom, signed on to one of the various suicide forums he belonged to on the Internet, and took his own life via carbon monoxide poisoning, remaining online until the very end. He wrote an extensive note to his parents absolving them from any responsibility for his actions. After his death, his father went through his computer and found numerous musical creations, including the songs that make up his debut album on Luaka Bop. These songs had been shared across the Internet with Yonlu's friends and acquaintances

the artist description is taken from his website, i'll cite it if it causes a huge ruckus. Seems like I've jumped on another album sputnik is less-than-enthused about
