Yeah, it is one track but, it is only like 30 minutes. Definitely not 50.

No prob. We won't judge you too harshly.

You mentioned Earth twice, once just as pioneers and once as a passing mention. My point is drone doom existed when Lysol came out.

Just because one album created a genre doesn't make it the sole influence for the genre.
|

That's what I normally do, but this album wouldn't work with that because it has really distinctive sections.
Ya, I can't really argue this either hahahahaha. I still gave you a vote for your wicked taste in music ; ).

Did Dylan Carlson call his stuff drone as early as Extra-Capsular Extraction? I mean he didn't even have long droning songs at that point, still had Joe Preston doing the drum machine and a conventional sound compared to Earth 2. Anyhow, it definitely wasn't a well defined genre at the time and Melvins were a part of its origin.

Can't get the feedback "solo" out of my head, gives me goosebumps !
I feel it belongs next to the bass stretch in Delirium Cordia.

Good review. Disagree about 1986 - 1992 being Melvins' best output though. To me it doesn't compare to the greatness they achieved from 92 - 02.
