dark omniscient electro, nice
I might look into this soon enough

If you enjoy :W: you might wanna look into some old LeƦther Strip like Underneath the Laughter, very clear where Rudy took all his inspiration from to say it politely. Then again, industrial seems to age very rapidly as a whole so it might seem too dated these days.

I don't mind old industrial as long as it has something to make up for sounding dated. For example, I can listen to old Front 242 and Einsturzende Neubauten, but old Front Line Assembly (Pre-Tactical Neural Implant) is a chore). I've heard Leaether Strip and it's not bad, but I definitely like this more.

I prefer analogue sounds a lot of the time to be honest, I don't sense anything being dated really

If you enjoy analog sounds than you would like "Wasted Sky" by Numb. If you can't find it than e-mail me at my screen name at gmail dot com and I'll try to point you in the right direction.

For sure, cheers.

My elitist image? Ha ha. Is that because I have "staff" under my name?
YES hahaha.

Bleh. The name rings a bell, but I've never heard his stuff before.
Listening to this now. I think you're right about the vocals; a little more focus might make all the difference. Some really promising stuff here though.

Yeah, but with as long as these guys have been around I wonder if they'll ever make good on any potential or if this is as good as it gets.

Sorry, I was just testing you. You know you will always be my favourite staff member hahaha.
After checking out their myspace album sampler, I was thoroughly impressed and I'm going to order this within the next few days. I love the Skinny Puppish growls and weird sound effects. Awesome stuff Willie.

Well, thanks and I'm glad you like this (that means you'll like that Numb album even more).

numb, now that's a blast from the past. i have three of their albums, wasted sky, blood meridian, and language of silence. i always found blood meridian to be the best. i liked them all three and the side project halo_gen was good too.
i'm a firm believer that :wumpscut:'s best days are in the past. music for a slaughtering tribe, bunkertor 7 / bunkergate 7, embryodead, and boeses junges fleisch (eevil young flesh)

Cool, someone else that's actually heard Numb. I've been trying to get the_Wizard to check out their Wasted Sky album for about a year. He's trying to expand his industrial but hasn't heard them yet. I prefer Wasted Sky just because it is a better blend of their noisier elements and the electro stuff. "Blood Meridian" has some very abstract, noisy songs. There are some really raw, old school industrial songs on Death on the Installment Plan that are some of my favorites.

It's cool, but there is better stuff out there (although nothing released recently that I know of).

You are so evil with your guilt trips Willie. I think I might just cry.... : 0

Pretty disappointed by much of this album. I'm a GIANT :W: fan, but many of these tracks are very straighforward/linear and uninspired, lacking the balls and flair of much of his stuff. I do like some of them though.

Maybe the reason I can enjoy this more than you is that I've never heard their previous stuff.

I ended up checking out that Numb album upon your recommendation, probably one of my favourites now.
