A 9 minute EP??? It's a good review Davey, but I wouldn't have thought even you liked this band enough to get this.

Thanks Spamue1. The person that rated this a 5 was someone called boondoggle. He has 6 ratings in total and all of them happen to be a 5. I'll give you one guess which 6 releases he has rated!!!

In all honesty Ross, I didn't get this EP. All of the songs were available at some stage before-hand as bonus tracks or B-Sides & I already had them prior to the EP being released. As most Rise Against fans would have already had at least 1 or 2 of these tracks themselves, that even further reduces the 'value for money' factor!

Oy, what you got against coming to Melbourne? ;-)

Ahhh, so you are a Geelong'ite. Oh well, at least you barrack for the Bullies (who happen to play my kangas on Sunday). Gee, last years Prelim Final must have been hell for you!

Yeah, I really don't see why people would buy this if they already had a few of the tracks, to be honest I don't see why someone would buy it full stop.

Oh incidentally I listened to some of Siren song last night and was thoroughly impressed.

As I said in the summary Ross, it would only be the most loyal of fans buying this EP to complete the band's discography. I attempted to keep that kind of thing out of the equation when rating the EP, but it was pretty difficult.

And seriously, you could just pluck random tracks off of 'Siren Song' or 'Sufferer' and I can tell you now that you will be thoroughly impressed. Keep in mind that punk/hardcore isn't usually totally my thing, yet these guys are now right up there as one of my favorite bands... That should tell you how good they are and it is mainly those 2 albums that are responsible for that.

"especially in the most biased football town in victoria". Yeah, they are very biased looking through their thermoses at games. I hope you are not a thermos carrier also James! Haha. And yeah, the Melbourne quip was in jest.

Haha, I'll be honest that's pretty much what I did RE: the random songs. Yeah I'll probably get the whole album soon because the songs I heard were pretty awesome, still think I'll prefer TSATW though.

The old 'plucking songs at random' test is always the best way to go when wanting to really test a group out. And as for preferring 'TS&TW', well I don't blame you there. I may prefer that album over all other albums full stop right now!

The cover of this seems like a bit of a rip off of Green Day's "American Idiot" :/

You reckon? Nah, a heart & a hand grenade aren't exactly the same thing.

I actually love the cover to this EP as I think nothing symbolizes Rise Against better than a raised fist with some heart behind it. Sums them up perfectly.

Well good if you like it, since I haven't really listened to Rise Against. I actually looked up the Green Day cover AFTER posting that comment and I agree that the covers are not all that samey, but it just reminded me Green Day right away

Well, both have (sort of) raised fists, but that's pretty much where the similarities end.

What I meant by the fist & heart summing up Rise Against well is that the fist could stand for the fist-pumping shout/sing-along anthems, while the heart signifies the passion in not only their music, but also their lyrics.
