I could have sworn there was already a review for this. Then again, my mind is over-heating right now! I should have listened to it & reviewed it when I did my Arctic Monkeys trio of reviews.
Anyway, very good review here Ross (& worthy of a pos). I especially liked your penultimate paragraph & actually thought this album would be like that… That is; more layers of music being revealed on further listens. One question from nowhere; Do they use horns a lot…???

Davey thanks for the compliments, I really like this review except maybe the second paragraph which seems a little in the wrong order to me. To answer your question yes there is a horn section integrated into the orchestra, but whether it is subtly used or whether I am just bad at hearing the horns over the myriad of strings I couldn't say.

Still love this. I don't listen to it as much as I should.

Some songs are really quite good, but others let it down. Certainly better than the Arctic Monkeys anyway lol.
